FF Lisandro

Known as "Lido" at home, FF Lisandro earned his NZWB stallion license from the German Classifier Gerd Küst in 2016. Gerd described Lisandro as, "a young big colt with strong joints, a well defined wither and big hindquarter. A powerful trot and canter and showing a lot of elasticity. Although still young and green he is a willing and scopey stallion with good reactions."

Lisandro was Holsteiner classified Premium as a foal. He is willing, learning fast from every question asked of him and has proven calm in the face of pressure - traits he has inherited from both his parents.

Above all, Lido is a pleasure to handle in every aspect with impeccable manners and a big  personality.

Lordano

Lisandro's sire Lordano was is a stallion with huge performance potential.  At his stallion performance test in Neustadt / Dosse 1996 he scored:

  • Overall score 123.58        (3/32)
    Dressage score. 110.91   (9/32)
    Jumping score. 132.77     (3./32)

  • 2003 Breeding Value Index:    Jumping  128 (78%)

Prior to 2002, Lordano was a popular stallion in Rheinland-Pfalz. In 2003, Lordano returned to Holstein as a service stallion.  He was competed internationally (1.60m) by Swedish show jump rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. In his first start over the hardest course in the world, the Hamburg Derby, Lordano made no mistakes and was able to demonstrate a well-received third place. See video here.

Tragically just a few weeks after this success Lordano suffered an injury that ended his athletic career too early.

Double cross to to the legendary jumping sire Lord

Lisandro is a double cross back to the licensing winner Lord who's offspring were all endowed with enormous scope over fences. He has been a hugely influential sire for the holsteiner breed.

Strong Mare Lines

On Lisandro's dam line, both Tashato GNZ and her dam Tasha were Holsteiner classified 'Premium' as foals.   While both dam and grand-dam have not competed due to injury, both have gone on to produce a number of quality foals many of whom, due to their young age, are still coming through the ranks.  In each case they have passed on both ability and temperament to their offspring.

Tasha's sire Corlando's  pedigree features some of the world's most renowned Holsteiners including Cor de la Bryere, Alme Z, Contender, Ladykiller, Ramiro, Marlon, Farnese, and one of the most influential Hanoverian stallions, Gotthard.   These sire lines have been huge influences in dressage and showjumping throughout the world.   Corlando's sire, Contango II, had a major influence in warmblood breeding in Australia with progeny being highly sought after internationally.  Contango II's sire, Contango I, won eight out of 10 grand prix dressage starts in the US.

Corlando's dam Lamona (by Lander), has produced numerous top performers in both disciplines, including the Australian national dressage champion Fleetentanze, and the showjumpers Deutschlander and Landman. Lander competed successfully at grand prix dressage and world cup showjumping.

Lordano's dam mother of Chin Chin

Lordano's grandmother, the mare Larese was one of the best Farnese daughters in Holstein. She is the mother of the exception-showjumper Chin Chin, who finished 6th in the individual competition at the Olympic Games in Seoul with his rider, the Mexican Jaime Azcarraga.

He also participated in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

Also from Larese is the very successful horse Collin by Contender who with the only clear round won the Hamburg Derby in 2004 with Toni Hassmann.

Dam Sire Littorio

Littorio was the 1995 Grand Champion of the Holsteiner Verband, Neumunster. Littorio has outstanding suspension and gaits and is known for passing on beautiful heads.

Littorio sired Belgium's 2001 National Grand Champion filly foal, and also the two finalists for the national freejumping championships at Melchen. These two finalists were selected out of 110 two-year-olds.

In 2003, two of the qualifiers for the Bundeschampionart were by Littorio. The 2003 Netherlands Champion Foal was also out of a Littorio mare. He also sired a finalist for the young horse world championships, in Monteray, Mexico.

In New Zealand he has produced many premium foals and an Overall Australian Champion Foal - Barrabadeen Timeless.
